Built by a family who gets it.
Squirrel wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born at a kitchen table, out of frustration, love, and way too many sticky notes.
The Founder Story
Brad Gronek has spent his career at the intersection of psychology, finance, and technology. Thirty years of software engineering. A background in behavioral psychology. A family navigating ADHD and autism diagnoses.
When his own family started that journey, he discovered what every ND family eventually learns: the tools don't exist. Timer apps don't understand executive dysfunction. Task apps aren't built for brains that experience time blindness. And nothing — absolutely nothing — bridges the gap between a therapist's office and daily life at home. And one size most definitely does not fit all.
The fragmentation was the worst part. A timer app here, a task app there, visual schedules on the fridge, a whiteboard system that collapsed every two weeks, and the constant recommendation from therapists to “set gaming limits” — knowing full well that approach causes more meltdowns than it prevents.
So he built Squirrel. Not as a business plan, but as a solution his family actually needed. The clinical framework came from real therapeutic approaches — OT-validated techniques adapted for daily use. The tech came from decades of engineering. The empathy came from being in the trenches every single morning.
“I built the tool I wish existed when we were drowning. Turns out a lot of families are drowning.”

Our Mission: Transform Executive Function Support
Transform how neurodivergent families experience time — through executive function support that actually works.
Executive function support isn't about trying harder. It's about external scaffolding for neurological differences. We build that scaffolding — across every device, for every family member, with every therapeutic technique that actually works.
Why we built an executive function app
The gap is real
7.7 million US families have children with ADHD, autism, or both. 95% experience time blindness. Families spend $40-70K/year on therapies with fragmented tool support. Gaming time blindness is the #1 family conflict with zero therapeutic solutions. Until now.
Nobody else will
Task apps don't understand executive dysfunction. Therapy apps are limited to single features. Screen time apps punish rather than teach. Nobody meets kids where they actually are — including in their games, where they regulate and decompress. Squirrel gives clinicians and parents the tools to ease into executive function at each child's pace, not a rigid system that breaks on day two.
“Your dreams are not for sale.”
We believe in personal sovereignty. Machines are tools we wield, not the other way around.
Your content is encrypted end-to-end. We don't sell it, mine it, or use it to train AI models. Your family's journey belongs to your family. Your struggles aren't training data. Your growth isn't someone else's product.
AI is optional. Sovereignty is default.
Clinical Advisory Board
We're building Squirrel with clinicians, not just for them. Our advisory board includes OTs, psychologists, and clinical professionals who shape the product roadmap and validate our therapeutic approach.
